Advice To The Players is an award winning, community-based, professional Shakespeare company. Our productions introduce new generations of teens both to Shakespeare’s brilliantly rendered portraits of humanity, and to live theatre as an intensely satisfying way to spend an evening. Our mentorships have received recognition from parents and educators as an effective and positive method for reaching teens disenfranchised by difficulties in school, community, or home and instilling in them a sense of pride and direction as well as increased literacy, better school performance, and a larger sense of belonging in a community with all the responsibilities that entails.

Traditionally, we have produced three shows each year with performances in March, August and December. We also offer summer Shakespeare camps for kids and teens as well as community and in-school workshops. We always offer specially priced tickets for students and seniors and during the school year, daytime performances for groups of students, which often include in-class workshops. Our summer camps are filled with enthusiastic kids and teens eager to learn about the language, action, and fun of Shakespeare’s plays.
